Job Title: Data Engineer

Department: Data Science

Reports To: Head of Data Science

Summary:

VI is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices, as well as experience in the telecommunications industry. They will also have a passion for building and maintaining data pipelines and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and systems
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
• Build data warehouses and data lakes
• Develop data analysis and reporting tools
• Work with data scientists to build machine learning models
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data engineering technologies

Skills:

• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.)
• Experience with data warehousing and data lakes
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
• Experience with machine learning
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering
• Experience with the telecommunications industry is a plus
