About the Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our growing team as a Payroll Clerk. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Data Entry: Accurately entering employee data, including salaries, deductions, and tax information, into our payroll system.
- Time Management: Processing employee time sheets and ensuring accurate pay calculations based on hours worked.
- Tax Processing: Withholding and remitting taxes in accordance with government regulations.
- Reporting: Generating reports on payroll data and maintaining detailed records.
- Liaising with Employees: Addressing employee queries related to their paychecks and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll data in the bank's payroll system.
- Process employee time sheets and calculate salaries based on company policies and regulations.
- Calculate and withhold taxes from employee salaries in accordance with government regulations.
- Generate payroll reports and maintain detailed records for future reference.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding their payroll and benefits.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures related to payroll processing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a payroll processing role (freshers will also be considered for the role).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
This role is open to both freshers and experienced candidates. We welcome individuals with a strong academic background and a keen interest in pursuing a career in finance. For experienced candidates, a minimum of 1 year of payroll processing experience is preferred.
