The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Pharmacist in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This includes tasks such as:

• Maintaining proper drug storage and security
• Entering patient information and prescriptions into computer systems
• Assisting with the preparation, packaging, and labelling of prescription medications

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
• Order and receive medications and supplies
• Prepare and dispense medications
• Assist customers with their prescriptions
• Answer customer questions about medications
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy
• Follow all safety procedures

Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of pharmacy procedures and regulations
• Ability to use computer systems

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician certification (preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting (preferred)
