Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger by accurately recording and classifying financial transactions.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced.
• Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, according to accounting principles and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with the budgeting and closing process, including preparing journal entries and accruals.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential risks.
• Support the internal audit team as required.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the accounting team and other departments within the Bank.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role (for experienced candidates).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - GAAP or Indian Accounting Standards - Ind AS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally.ERP 9).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Experience

This role is open to both experienced and qualified freshers. For experienced candidates, a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role is preferred. However, highly motivated and qualified freshers with a strong academic background will also be considered.
