The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in support of patient care. This includes collecting and preparing specimens, performing analytical testing, and interpreting results. The MLT must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Perform a variety of analytical tests, including blood chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and microbiology
• Interpret laboratory results and report findings to physicians and other healthcare providers
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations
• Provide customer service to patients and their families

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS)
• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
