The Credit Counselor is responsible for providing financial counseling and education to individuals and families. This includes helping clients develop budgets, create debt management plans, and improve their overall financial health. The Credit Counselor will also work with creditors to negotiate lower interest rates and payment terms.

Responsibilities:

• Assess client's financial situation and develop a plan to improve their credit score.
• Help clients create and stick to a budget.
• Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients.
• Provide financial education and counseling to clients.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest financial regulations and trends.
• Maintain accurate records of all client interactions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in credit counseling or financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
