Job Title: Quality Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Head of Quality Engineering

Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of Uber's products and services. They will work with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, develop and execute test plans, and analyze test results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and practices, as well as experience in a variety of programming languages and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans for new features and products
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the quality of Uber's products and services
  • Analyze test results and report on findings
  • Work with engineers and product managers to improve the quality of Uber's products and services
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in software testing

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and practices
  • Experience in a variety of programming languages and technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing
