As a Staff Accountant at HDFC Bank, you'll be the financial accuracy champion, meticulously managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You'll wear many hats, from processing transactions and reconciling accounts to preparing reports and analyzing financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Process and verify financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.
• Comply with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders regarding financial information.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial tasks.

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
